Sanyi se během deseti let natáčení proměnil ze zvědavého kluka z ulice v problémového puberťáka. Film zachycuje, jak se Sanyi snaží vyhnout osudu dítěte z chudé rodiny v Orbánově Maďarsku.

Režisér potkal Sanyiho v centru Budapešti, když bylo chlapci sedm let. Začali spolu jezdit na skejtu, hledat zábavu a dobrodružství. Ulice se stává pro Sanyiho druhým domovem. Kdykoliv to jde, utíká ze staré garsonky v přízemí, kde bydlí s rodiči, dvěma sourozenci a babičkou. Kamera je u toho, když se rodina připravuje na kontrolu ze sociálky, když si Sanyi najde první holku nebo když s partou začne pařit. „Přesvědč mě, že se z tebe nestane alkoholik, bezdomovec, feťák a povaleč,“ říká dospívajícímu protagonistovi režisér. Kterým směrem se Sanyiho život bude nakonec ubírat?

Sanyi transformed from a curious boy from the street to a troubled teenager during the ten years of filming. The film depicts how Sanyi tries to avoid the fate of a child from a poor family in Orbán's Hungary.

The director met Sanyi in the center of Budapest when the boy was seven years old. They started skateboarding together, looking for fun and adventure. The street becomes a second home for Sanyi. Whenever he can, he runs away from the old studio apartment on the ground floor where he lives with his parents, two siblings and his grandmother. The camera is there when the family prepares for social security checks, when Sanyi finds his first girlfriend or when he and the gang start dating. "Convince me that you won't become an alcoholic, a homeless person, a junkie and a bum," says the director to the teenage protagonist. What direction will Sanyi's life take in the end?
