Film ukazuje různé podoby intimního vztahu mezi dvěma odlišnými osobnostmi, živelnou tanečnicí Elenou a zdrženlivým tlumočníkem ze znakového jazyka Dovydasem, kteří zkouší, zda mohou zůstat spolu i přes svoje rozdílné tělesné potřeby.

I když je jejich práce spojená s tělesností, každý své tělo vnímá jinak. Elena si užívá sexuality a nebrání se ani náhodným erotickým zážitkům, zatímco Dovydas sex a tělesný kontakt k životu nepotřebuje. Ve filmu se tak střídají různé fáze jejich vztahu od počátečního náhodného seznámení přes budování společné intimity bez sexu až po hádky a další těžkosti. Snímek je nejen příběhem Eleny a Dovydase, ale i všeobecnou úvahou nad tématy, jako jsou otevřený vztah, partnerské stereotypy a očekávání. Díky originálnímu tématu a citlivému zpracování získal film cenu za režii na festivalu Sundance.

The film shows the different forms of an intimate relationship between two different personalities, the spontaneous dancer Elena and the restrained sign language interpreter Dovydas, who test whether they can stay together despite their different physical needs.

Even though their work is connected with physicality, everyone perceives their body differently. Elena enjoys sexuality and does not resist even random erotic experiences, while Dovydas does not need sex and physical contact for life. In the film, the different phases of their relationship alternate from the initial casual acquaintance to the building of mutual intimacy without sex to arguments and other difficulties. The film is not only the story of Elena and Dovydas, but also a general reflection on topics such as an open relationship, partner stereotypes and expectations. Thanks to its original theme and sensitive processing, the film won the award for directing at the Sundance festival.
