A time-lapse portrait of young Gabi follows the transformation of her thoughts about life and herself. The child's free-spirited existence gradually awakens to the adult world, controlled by stereotypes that she does not want to accept.

Eight-year-old Gabi doesn't care who's a boy and who's a girl and defines herself as a Capricorn. She doesn't understand why some toys are for boys and others are for girls. For her the world is one big playground, which she likes to confront with her wild imagination. The turning point comes when, at the age of 11, she moves from a big city to the countryside. She experiences loneliness, encounters the misunderstanding of others, and to top it all off, her body slowly begins to change. The intimate documentary captures a fragile rebirth and search for one's own identity, underlining the human right to go one's own way despite society's pigeonholes and expectations.
